Jul 9, 2009 Plaques Bill passes through committee stage at Westminster
The Damages (Asbestos-Related Conditions) Bill passed through its committee stage this week. The Private Members’ Bill, presented by Andrew Dismore MP, would overturn the House of Lords judgment in the Johnston case, and enable people with pleural plaques in England and Wales to claim compensation.
